Unfortunately there is nothing like an Alzheimer’s cure. There is no treatment yet that can cure the onset of Alzheimer’s. There are some drugs that help in managing the symptoms to some extent.



The drugs Donepezil, Galantamine or Rivastigmine may help in preventing some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s in some patients, but they might not be helpful for some other patients. The drug known as Tacrine is not currently available in the market. In order to treat severe forms of Alzheimer’s, the drugs called Memantine and Donepezil are administered. There are some medications that are used to treat the behavioral symptoms of Alzheimer,s including agitation, anxiety, sleeplessness, wandering, and depression. This is in fact very essential as it helps the patients to live more comfortably.


Since no cure is declared in traditional medicines for Alzheimer’s disease, many people and family members tend to find out some alternative for this deadly disease. According to the scientists of National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), there are herbal cures for Alzheimer’s. As described by the leading scientist in NBRI, the herbal formulation invented by NBRI works as a memory enhancer and offers the cure for Alzheimer’s disease.


The herbal formulation is designed with the help of the extracts of medicinal plants blended in alcoholic substances. According to their claim, this herbal tonic helps in reviving the transmission of brain signals. The tonic is available in two forms – emulsion and in the form of soft gelatin capsule.


Unani is another rich segment of ancient Indian medical science and one of the most ignored eras of alternative medical science. It is claimed that Unani has the solution for Alzheimer’s disease, but not every one can accept the fact. Unani has many similar factors like Ayurveda, but the former receives lesser attention than the later. In Ayurveda, it is also claimed that there is a solution to many brain diseases including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.


Although it is claimed in the alternative approaches that the cure of Alzheimer’s disease is possible, traditional treatment does not agree with it. In fact, the proponents of traditional treatment approach affirm that more researches are needed to develop a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
