Like all of the other fungi, fingernail fungus requires an area that is nice and moist and warm in order to thrive. It is actually a fungal infection of the nail bed rather than just fungus that has spread under the nail. You usually get fingernail fungus when there is a cut, scratch, or wound present in the skin that is under your fingernails.

When you are suffering from fingernail fungus you see many of the things that you would in a toenail fungus or when athlete’s foot spreads to underneath a toenail. It usually causes your infected fingernails to become thicker, a little discolored, usually a yellow or brown color, the nails become brittle, and sometimes your nails start crumbling around the edges.

In some cases you may feel pain, burning, and sometimes even itching because of the fingernail fungus. In more severe cases it is even possible for your fingernails to begin to separate from the nail bed, and when it goes untreated they can fall off completely.

Some people are more likely to suffer from fingernail fungus more than others because of things like their immune system not recognizing it or learning to live with it rather than try to fight it. No matter why it is that people suffer from it, it is easier to avoid getting fingernail fungus than it is to treat the fungus.

To help avoid fingernail fungus you should not share things like nail clippers, nail polish, or nail files, you should avoid cutting your nails to short so that you are less likely to cause an injury in the skin underneath the nail, and you should avoid sharing towels and washcloths, especially with people you know are suffering from fingernail fungus.

For treatment of fingernail fungus it is better to go to a doctor to get a pill that will fight the fungus from the inside out. This works better because it is often hard to get cream directly onto the fungus before your nail starts coming loose. Unfortunately some of these medicines take a long time and can cause serious side effect, so talking to your doctor about these and how they are effecting you is the best way to decide what medicine would work best for you.

Fungus grows from spores that can be found all around us. The spores wait until conditions are just right and then they grow into the fungus that irritates your body. After they have attached themselves to something they need constant warmth and moisture, without this fungus can not grow. Some fungus, like eye fungus can cause a lot of damage to the body.

Eye fungus is a fungus that is in the eye and causes infections. One type of eye fungus is called mycotic keratitis and it is an infection in the corneal that can be caused by a filamentous fungi, which is also moulds, and yeast.

The most common cause of this type of eye fungus is trauma related to plants, the use of contact lenses, and surgery on the eye. If you suspect that you have an eye fungus from any of these you should go to a doctor.

Another type of eye fungus is endogenous oculomycosis. This is generally the result of a hematogenous dissemination of a systemic fungal disease. Generally if your eye is suffering from this fungus, which is not just an eye fungus, then the fungus already has a widespread distribution since your eye is one of the later things to suffer from this fungus. This eye fungus generally affects the retina, orbit, optic nerve, conjunctiva, sclera, and the nearby tissue. The most common form of this is called Candidal endophthlamitis.

If you suspect that you have any type of eye fungus you should see a doctor immediately so that you can get started on treatment. Eye fungus can be very dangerous to your sight if it is not treated quickly and effectively. When you go to a doctor they will work to find out what type of eye fungus you have so that you can start treatment.

Once you have started treatment you should probably try to find the cause. If you wear contacts it could be your eye drops, contact solution, or something that got into your eyes while you put the contacts in. If you’re around plants a lot it could be that a plant hit your eye or you rubbed something into it after touching a plant.
Even with the amazing treatments that are offered today there are still a huge number of people who suffer from fungus on their skin, toenails, fingernails, and scalp. You can pretty much get fungus anywhere on your body. The reason some people suffer from fungus over and over again, and other people hardly get it is because with some people the body doesn’t recognize the fungus as foreign and dangerous.

This means that the body doesn’t try fighting it off and without antibiotics/antifungal their fungus will keep reoccurring and spreading.

There are of course people that are more at risk than others for getting different types of fungus in different areas. For instance, adults are more likely to suffer from a foot fungus that children, especially children under 5 years of age, because their body doesn’t immediately see the fungus as foreign or dangerous and with some people their bodies have just learned to live with the fungus that they suffer from most often so the immune system does not bother to even try and get rid of it. However, unlike grownups, kids are more likely to have fungus growing on their scalp.

Of course it isn’t just the body’s fault that it suffers from fungus so easily. Fungus is everywhere. It is in the dirt, on the floor, and on the people around us, which makes it unavoidable. It spreads easily because it releases little spores that just sit and wait for the perfect time to grow into new fungus.

Unfortunately one of the most common places to find the spores is in your shoes, and unfortunately when you put the shoes on you get the fungus spores on your feet, and anything else, like your hands, that touch the shoes. At that point all it does is sit back and wait until it is ready to grow into full blown fungus.

Luckily for you, if you make a habit out of staying clean and places like your feet are kept dry then it is unlikely that the fungus will grow. It likes to grow in a warm moist place, and this makes it so that some places are more likely to have fungus growth, and some people are ore likely to get it as well.
