Often, people who suffer from migraine not only experience pain the head but they also experience some other symptoms as well.



Among them are vomiting, nausea, sensitivity to both lights and sounds and in some cases, the feet and the hands may be cold and clammy. People who experience migraine also find some other odors to be unpleasant.


There are different types of migraine. Migraine with aura is described as a neurological phenomenon that happens 30 minutes before the pain in the head occurs. This type of headache is also described as bright and shimmering light around the visuals of objects, zigzag lines, hallucinations or even wavy lines.


And in some cases, the people who suffer from this often experience a temporary visual loss. There are also nonvisual experiences that happen with this. Among them are dizziness, vertigo, weakness, speech or language imparities, tingling or numbness of the face and the tongue. Migraine without aura, on the other hand, is the usually what is experienced by most migraine sufferers.


They experience pain in one side of the head only and before the headache starts, there is the change of mood and tiredness or weakness may be experienced. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, headache and being sensitive to light often accompany migraine without aura.


There is also another type – abdominal migraine, which occurs in children who have a family history of migraine. Different symptoms occur with this type, such a vomiting, nausea, gastrointestinal causes and being pale. Children who experience this often grow up with a migraine.
