There are many people who shudder when they look at themselves in the mirror. The cause of their shuddering is the excessive fat that is trying to bulge out of their outfits. If you are also one of them here is the way out for you! First thing that should be kept in mind that weight loss diet should be done safely. Crash weight loss programs are not good for the health. Even if you are dying to be thin you should avoid the following listed things.

Starving

Starving yourself in an attempt to lose weight is a bad idea. The body requires food for its survival. When somebody loses weight by starving, a reasonable portion of the lost weight is the muscle mass instead of fat mass. Muscles consume lot of calories once you lose a part of them it will result in slowing down the metabolism rate. This will cause an opposite effect on the weight that is instead of losing weight you’ll gain weight.

Remember body is like a machine it needs fuel, to keep it into a proper working position so starving never works.

Smoking

You’ll be surprised to know that many Americans today opt to smoke as a tool for weight loss. Those who already smoke do not quit smoking with a fear that they will gain weight. No doubt being overweight does pose some health problems, but those who are smoking and are overweight are at double risk. Those who opt smoking as a tool to lose weight commits a sin to their health as smoking leads to heart disease, cancer, bronchitis, emphysema. Smoking itself is a host of other problems so it should never be used as an instrument to lose weight.

Surgery

Liposuction surgery and gastric bypass should only be considered if everything else fails. As these obesity surgeries can in some case may cause serious health problems. They should only be considered as a last resort. No doubt that these surgeries have been improved over the years. But it should be kept in mind that it has taken the lives of some patients as well. If you have tried all the weight loss programs than before going for the surgery better go for fiber supplementation and body wraps. As these are much safer ways of burning the stubborn fats.

Eating disorder

Dying to be thin becomes a tragedy if somebody in an attempt to lose weight start suffering from eating disorder. These risky eating disorders sometimes can prove fatal. One can lose weight naturally in a much safer way.

“Dying to get slimmer” is a common phrase but it can become true in its meaning in certain cases. Healthy eating and increase in physical activity is the best and the safest way to lose weight.
